Matrix Club

What belongs to a real Berlin holiday? A visit at Brandenburg Gate, yes. The East Side Gallery, of course. But most important of all – you need a good and long party night Berlin-style until dawn. In our blog series “location of the month”, we show you different clubs, bars and restaurants which will make your Berlin holiday a real experience and, thus, show you Berlin’s crazy and lively nightlife hands-on.

Today, we would like to show you a club which has been part of Berlin’s nightlife for a long time and is just a short hop from our Industriepalast Hostel. Almost every Berliner has been to the Matrix Club Berlin at least once in his/her life. The club was opened in 1994 and is situated between the restaurant- and bar district around the Simon-Dach-Straße and the lively party district of Kreuzberg. Also, the famous Oberbaumbrücke and East-Side Gallery are just some minutes by foot away from the club. Matrix Club is known partly due to the popular TV-Series “Berlin Tag & Nacht” (= Berlin Day & Night), which is about the everyday life in Berlin Kreuzberg-Friedrichshain and shows many scenes in the Matrix Club.

Matrix Club

Why don’t you and your friends start a night out in Berlin with a yummy dinner in the Simon-Dach-Straße, pop in to the Industriepalast to freshen up and then go party to Matrix Club? Don’t forget to come to our hostel reception before you go out to party, because we can give you half price tickets for Matrix Club! The club is a close partner of our hostel which is also why Matrix’s logo can be seen on the back of our keycards. Apart from that, there regularly are cool specials at Matrix. On Thursdays, for instance, students get free entry and a free beer at the party “United Campus!” or on Wednesdays, ladies can enter for free until midnight at the party “Ladies First”. If it’s your birthday, you can enjoy even more special deals at Matrix – you’ll get a bottle of sparkling wine for free as well as free entry for you and six friends.

You aren’t sure which day to go out? No worries! The Matrix Club is open every day from 10 pm on and there is a different party every night. From house, R’n’B and pop to funk and hip hop – you get every style of music at Matrix, so everybody will find something to dance to. The party people at Matrix Club are young and dynamic – you have to be 18 years to get into the club.

See for yourself and get to know Matrix Club next time you visit us at Industriepalast hostel! Or check out our new video already showing an interview with Gina who talks about the different parties and specials in Matrix Club. We wish you a lot of fun with partying Berlin-style.
