Time is running and before you know it 2015 will be history: Only two months to go for New Year’s! Are you still wondering where and how to celebrate the turn of the year? The answer is easy: Berlin is the party capital of Europe! Still not sure? Here are five reasons why Berlin is the place to be on New Year’s Eve:

1. Europe’s biggest party

At least once in your life you need to see this: New Year’s at Brandenburg Gate. More than a million (!) visitors come together here every year. Time to dance, to drink, to party hard. Bands and DJs will keep you warm and nothing is as uplifting as counting down the last seconds of 2015 with a million others. “3… 2… 1…”, and cheers to the old, cheers to the new and to all the strangers who just became your friends. Bathe in the fireworks and get the new year going. You will never again see a party like this – promise!

2. The world in a city

Over the last few years Berlin has become a real magnet for international tourist. Visitors from all around the world beat a path to Brandenburg gate to get a first-hand experience of the hip metropolis and its original vibe. The biggest date of the year: New Year’s! So if you want to celebrate with, well, basically the entire planet, Berlin is the place for you. Hint: Champagne is an excellent way to overcome language barriers…

3. Cheap is sexy

Compared to other nightlife centers like London, New York, or Tokyo, partying in Berlin is ridiculously cheap. Club admissions? Moderate. Cocktail prices? More than fair. Food? You will go nuts… So your New Year’s Eve party here won’t do much harm to your precious savings. A great deal are so-called “All Inclusive Parties” that will let you eat, drink, and party all night long on a flat rate. One of the best places for that: Pirates on Oberbaumbrücke has the “Mega Silvester 2015 with bbq, free drinks, and numerous djs on three floors starting from 69,-€ flat. And watching the fireworks from the huge rooftop terrasse will simply blow your mind. The icing on the cake: When you finally get tired it is only a two minute straight (more or less, depending on your party attitude) walk to your soft, warm bed at Industriepalast Hostel.

4. There will be fireworks

What’s cracking? Firecrackers are. Imagine an ocean of colorful lights and fireworks, right over the skyline of Brandenburg Gate, TV Tower, and the rest of Berlin. Too good to be true? Not at all! Save that quarter stick for independence day and prepare for the most amazing show you’ve ever seen. If you can’t get access to a rooftop and you’re not partying right at Brandenburg Gate, you might want to settle on of the many bridges of Berlin as they offer an excellent view of the fiery rain. Your best options: Oberbaumbrücke over the Spree river or Warschauer Brücke facing the skyline of East Berlin.

5. The morning after

Let’s be honest – things escalate quickly on New Year’s. All the better if you can sleep in the next morning and start 2016 at a very relaxed pace. No matter if it is a romantic double room you’re looking for, a cozy four-bed room for you and your friends, or just a bed in a dormitory, at Industriepalast Hostel you will get the refreshing sleep you need and an excellent hangover breakfast. You find us right in Friedrichshain, Berlin’s most famous nightlife borough, so it won’t be a long way home to your comfy bed.
