A new year is coming and 2015 welcomes us with exciting events. Here are the dates you have to mark in your calendar and what you must not miss in the first three months of the year:

Berlin Fashion Week (19. – 21.01.)

The big names of the international fashion scene are on their way to Berlin again and turn the German capital into a capital of fashion. Fashion Week 2015 is going to be the first highlight of the year. The bigger and smaller shows of the famous and upcoming designers are partly even open to the public and off the catwalks the city will be all about haute couture, prêt-à-porter, and street style, too. International Green Week (16. – 25.01.)

Every year the world’s biggest trade show for food, agriculture and gardening takes place here in Berlin. In 26 halls roughly 1,500 exhibitors show products from all over the globe, and a special emphasis will be put on food for allergic and vegan eaters. Transmediale 2015 (28.01. – 01.02.)

Where do art, society and media meet? In the Haus der Kulturen der Welt for the Transmediale 2015 : The festival aims to impart a critical understanding of our culture coined by media technology and wants to start a dialog with selected artworks and media projects. This year’s topic: “Capture All”. One of the most exciting art festivals of the year!

Berlinale 2015 (05. – 15.02.)

For the 65th time the Berlin International Film Festival, in short: Berlinale, invites filmmakers and cineastes from all over the world to Germany. The unique mixture of international contributions and the always very thorough look on the local film industry, Berlinale is one of the most important film festivals of the world. It’s probably the best time of the year to get close to celebrities. But most of all it’s a great opportunity to experience fantastic movies and new trends in German and international cinema. Valentine’s Day in Berlin (14.02.)

If you are in love, it is your favorite day of the year. If you are a flower or chocolate store, it is, too: Valente’s day turns Berlin into a romantic setting for real-life love stories. No matter if you want to go for a nice long walk in the park, eat ice cream in the first beams of sunlight or have a classy candle light dinner – the capital is the perfect place for your romantic trip. International Travel Trade Show ITB (04. – 08.03.)

Do you have itchy feet? Let’s go to ITB 2015, the International Travel Trade Show in Berlin. No matter if it’s a business thing or you just want to plan your next vacation, ITB give you impressions and travel ideas from the entire world. Partner country Mongolia will let you breath exotic air, but also if you are interested in jobs and making a career in travelling, you’ll find what you are looking for.
